Dental Hygiene

Want to keep advancing your dental career? Open exclusively to Gateway’s Dental Assistant program graduates, the Dental Hygiene associate degree shared program with Milwaukee Area Technical College has a competitive four-seat annual capacity. Graduates must also elect to take the HESI-A2 exam and earn 80% or better to qualify. See “Admissions Requirements” for more information.

  • Get the right credentials. Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, MATC’s Dental Hygiene program curriculum blends academic and clinical courses to prepare you for the industry.
  • Manage your schedule. With online course options for electives and general education courses available through both colleges, you get even greater flexibility.
  • Don’t waste time. Students in Gateway’s district may complete prerequisites before petitioning in a rigorous and competitive selection for two seats in the Fall and Spring semesters, respectively.

Note: Acceptance date into the Dental Assistant program and HESI scores are used for tie-breaker decisions.
