Gateway Technical College utilizes the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Tax Refund Interception program to collect outstanding debts owed to the College. The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is authorized to deduct outstanding debts owed to Gateway Technical College through its Tax Refund Interception Program (T.R.I.P.).
Once Gateway submits your account to the state, you will receive a notice from the state indicating you have 30 days to appeal this decision before you are sent to T.R.I.P. If you do not respond in writing within 30 days with supporting documentation as to why you believe the debt is not valid, your account will be sent to T.R.I.P. and any state tax refund will be intercepted to pay your outstanding debt with Gateway.
