Education is the pathway to personal and career success. The Gateway Promise enables access, success, and completion of a college degree.
Students' first step is to complete the Intent Form (see button to the right/below) to help us communicate further with them and their parents about this wonderful opportunity for tuition-free college. High school seniors must also complete an Application for Admission by February 1, 2017 (see button to the right/below). Additional application details can be found on the FAQ and Timeline pages below.
With financial support through the Gateway Technical College Foundation, the Gateway Promise ensures Kenosha County, Racine County and Walworth County high school graduates, who meet program eligibility requirements, can attend college at Gateway tuition-free. The first eligible class will be the high school graduating class of 2017. The Gateway Promise will help tri-county area high school students realize their dream of attending college and begin their path to career and personal success.
The Gateway Promise is supported by generous community support through the Foundation’s Gateway Promise endowment fund. Sc Johnson and H.Fisk Johnson are key supporters of the Gateway Promise.
To hear remarks on behalf of SC Johnson from Kelly Semrau, Sr. Vice President, and hear from Gateway Provost Zina Haywood about how to become a participant in the Gateway Promise, please view the "Promise Announcement" video on this page.
