Sexual misconduct will not be tolerated

Gateway Technical College is committed to providing an educational and employment environment free from sexual harassment and discrimination, sexual misconduct, rape, acquaintance rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, dating violence and domestic violence.

In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Gateway Technical College prohibits sex discrimination, sexual misconduct, rape, acquaintance rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, dating violence and domestic violence. This policy applies to all students, employees, contractors, and visitors of the college.

Reporting Options

Anyone wishing to file a Sexual Misconduct incident report may do so by one of these methods:

The  Office for Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights uses discretion and seeks to protect the privacy of all persons involved in complaints of sexual misconduct.

If you experience any type of sexual misconduct and want to speak to someone confidentially about your options, rights and experience you can contact a confidential resource as identified below.

Please note that outside of the coordinator, deputy coordinator and confidential resources below, not all entities on campus are confidential – all staff are responsible for making Gateway a safe and welcoming community, and are required to report sexual misconduct and discrimination based on sex to the Title IX team.

Prompt reporting is encouraged but not required.
