Q: Do I have to use the online application system to apply? Can I turn in a paper application with documentation?

A: You may only use the online application process to apply for employment at Gateway. You can upload job specific resumes and supporting documents to your online application for each job that you apply to.

Q: What if I don’t have computer access at home to apply?

A: You can access our online application website from any internet connected computer.  If you do not have a personal computer you may utilize one of the following resources:

  • Libraries: Gateway Technical College campus libraries are available or a Public library close to you.
  • Family or Friends
  • GTC Human Resource Department, 3520 30th Ave Kenosha, WI Administration Building.

Q: The online application process requires an email address. How do I get one?

A: If you do not already have an email address, you can obtain a free one from sites such as: AOL, Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo. You must have a valid e-mail address to access the application system. All notices such as application receipt and status of your application will be sent to your email account.

Q:  How do I get help to complete the online application and search for open jobs?

A: Please read the information on the front page of the employment page.  If you still have additional questions, you can contact our HR office at 262-564- 2358. Business Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5.00pm.

Q: How do I access my online account after I set it up?

A: You can access your account by selecting Employment Opportunities from the bottom of the gtc.edu website. There will be a place to "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner.  You will need to use the email address and password you created upon applying for the job.

Q:  What do I do if I forget my password to my online account?

A:  You can reset your password by selecting Employment Opportunities from the bottom of the gtc.edu website. Select "Sign In" from the upper right hand corner, you will then have a link that says “Reset Password" under the green sign in button.

Q:  How can I find current job openings at Gateway Technical College?

A: You can visit our job openings at: www.governmentjobs.com/careers/gatewaytech

Q: Can I apply for more than one job?

A: Yes, you can apply for multiple jobs for which you are qualified for. You would you use one account to apply for multiple jobs.

Q:  I don’t have time to complete the application in one sitting, can I save and return later?

A: Yes, at the end of each section on the application there is a "Save"' icon. You can then login to your account and pick up from where you left off.

Q: How do I upload attachments to my already submitted application?

A: There are two options: If the position is still open for applications, you can re-apply and attach your documents. You can also contact 262-564-2358 to find out how to send your attachments to HR and have them uploaded to your application if the position has closed.

Q:  I’m a current Gateway Technical College employee/ instructor. Do I have to submit an application, resume and cover letter for an open job?

A: Yes, you must submit an online application and any other required documentation for the job in which you are interested.

A: Yes, in order to withdraw your application please call 262- 564-2358.
