Shared program with Milwaukee Area Technical College
Enhance patient care by evaluating and treating people with lung and heart disease. Respiratory therapists’ duties include administering treatments, recommending therapeutic interventions and operating life support systems. The program’s clinical experiences are gained in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates are qualified to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) examinations.
This is a Milwaukee Area Technical College program offered as a shared program with Gateway Technical College. A shared program is a formal partnership agreement between two or more Wisconsin technical colleges which allows you to attend courses and complete a portion of your program locally, though your degree will be granted by another technical college.
Students can earn up to 28 credits locally at Gateway Technical College and then transfer to Milwaukee Area Technical College to complete their associate degree.
Interested students should meet with a Gateway Technical College New Student Specialist to obtain information about available courses at Gateway. Students should submit an admission application and apply for financial aid at MATC.
