The Gateway Technical College District is governed by a nine-member board of trustees representing the communities served by the three-county district. The Board comprises two employer members, two employee members, one elected official, one school district administrator, one student representative and three additional members. Members are appointed by the chairpersons of the Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth County Boards of Supervisors, and serve staggered three-year terms.

Notice is hereby given by Mr. Scott Maier, Racine County Supervisor and Chairperson of the Appointment Committee for the Gateway Technical College District Board that the Appointment Committee will meet 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026, at Gateway’s Horizon Center, 4940 88th Avenue, Room 106, Kenosha, WI 53144, to:
- hold a public hearing on nominations
- review and approve The Plan of Representation
- consider the appointment of a representative to the Gateway Technical College District Board; and
- to consider other items relating to the appointment process.
The Gateway Technical College District Board Appointment Committee reserves the right to adjourn into executive session at this meeting per Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) and (1)(f) to consider information which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person, and reserves the right to reconvene into open session for the purpose of taking action.

- One (1) Employee Member, Kenosha County Seat. The term will commence March 19, 2026, following certification of the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, and expire June 30, 2027.
