The Gateway Technical College District is governed by a nine-member board of trustees representing the communities served by the three-county district. The Board comprises two employer members, two employee members, one elected official, one school district administrator, one student representative and three additional members. Members are appointed by the chairpersons of the Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth County Boards of Supervisors, and serve staggered three-year terms.
Applications
Gateway Technical College is currently not accepting applications for District Board of Trustees seats. Three of the nine board seats are available for appointment/re-appointment each year due to expiring terms. The standard appointment process commences at the beginning of every calendar year. Anybody interested in serving on the Gateway District Board of Trustees is encouraged to visit this website regularly for updates as details are announced.
Board seats can become available outside of the standard appointment schedule due to resignations, members no longer meeting the criteria for their role, etc. When this occurs, these openings are either added to the standard appointment process or filled in a separate, individual appointment process according to the state of Wisconsin guidelines.
All openings and application instructions are publicly noticed.
