Nomination deadline approaching for Gateway’s Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award
The deadline for submitting nominations for Gateway Technical College’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award is December 19, 2014.
Honorees will be recognized at Gateway Technical College’s 21st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration program at noon January 19, 2015.
Honorees will receive an award at the annual event for exemplifying the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and serving the causes of equality, justice, freedom and peace.
To qualify for the honor, recipients need to be residents of Kenosha, Racine or Walworth counties. Other criteria include demonstrating selfless, distinguished service to the community and embodying the spirit and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
