The automated manufacturing field is growing as robots are being used in many manufacturing processes. Skilled technicians are in demand as they are responsible for keeping automated systems running smoothly and efficiently. If you have an interest in robots and how they work an associate degree in electro-mechanical technology is for you. Electromechanical technicians repair and maintain robotics and automation systems. They also help program automated systems as well as perform basic setup and repair of wired lines to various pieces of equipment.
If you enjoy working with your hands, fixing machines and working with robots, the Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology associate degree program at Gateway Technical College is a great fit for you. This two-year program will train technicians to work in factories with high levels of manufacturing automation as they repair and program automated systems.
