Sydney Opera House

Australia

Students and two instructors, along with the International Education Coordinator, will travel to the east coast in the state of New South Wales, Australia, to engage in a global enrichment experience focused on cultural interaction, education, the environment, building leadership skills and networking. Students will immerse themselves in the culture while staying with host families. 

Participants will visit classes at TAFE (Technical and Further Education) and learn more about their program area at TAFE Illawarra, Wollongong. Moreover, participants will tour TAFE institutes, breathtaking beaches, wildlife sanctuaries and Blue Mountains National Park, also spending three days in Sydney during Vivid (the festival of light).

Scotland/Ireland

Students will fly to Glasgow and travel to New College Lanarkshire, staying on campus to participate in cross-cultural and academic activities with students and faculty. Students will experience the Scottish Highlands and explore historic Stirling Castle. Students will also get to explore the city of Edinburgh. Finally, students will receive two Master Classes at the Preston Fieldhouse in Edinburgh.

In Ireland, students travel to the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland in Bundoran, Donegal, on the Wild Atlantic Way. They will receive daily lectures, field trips and experience the local music culture. The academic concentration will be on Irish history, social justice and global citizenship.

Vietnam

Spend 10 days in Vietnam learning about the culture, language and history. Students will visit a local university and villages, while exploring the culture and taking local classes in bamboo weaving, cooking, fishing, pearl cultivation, and more. Volunteer with the local villagers to learn about day-to-day life in the village, farming, gardening, and providing care to animals too.

Switzerland

International diplomacy and healthcare will be the main topics of study in Geneva, Switzerland. Between a Swiss university lecture, students will tour the United Nations, World Health Organization, the Center for European Nuclear Research and a hospital with a surgical simulation center. With a visit to the traditional Swiss town of Gruyeres, as well as cheese and chocolate factories and the capital city of Bern, this trip will not only broaden students' worldview through Swiss culture, it will inspire them each to contribute to the changing global economy.

Switzerland

Budapest, Vienna, Prague

Participants in the Budapest, Vienna and Prague Global Enrichment program will learn about the culture and history of Central Europe as well as visit educational institutions in all three countries. Highlights of the program include visits to the International Business School, Graphisoft Park, and Aquincum Institute of Technology (AIT) in Budapest, the Vienna School of Applied Arts and Czech Technical University in Prague.
