International diplomacy and healthcare will be the main topics of study in Geneva, Switzerland. Between a Swiss university lecture, students will tour the United Nations, World Health Organization, the Center for European Nuclear Research, and a hospital with a surgical simulation center. With a visit to the traditional Swiss town of Gruyeres, as well as cheese and chocolate factories and the capital city of Bern, this trip will not only broaden students' worldview through Swiss culture, it will inspire them each to contribute to the changing global economy.
Budapest, Vienna, Prague
Participants in the Budapest, Vienna, and Prague Global Enrichment program will learn about the culture and history of Central Europe as well as visit educational institutions in all 3 countries. Highlights of the program include visits to the International Business School, Graphisoft Park, and Aquincum Institute of Technology (AIT) in Budapest, the Vienna School of Applied Arts, and Czech Technical University in Prague.
An exchange program partnership between Gateway Technical College and TAFE (Technical and Further Education), NSW (New South Wales) in Australia. Participants will learn about Australian culture and the Australian educational system. A combination of short term immersion into the Australian culture through host family stays and activities with local students from the TAFE institute and exposure to specific fields of study in the Australian Vocational and Trade system. Students will also learn about Australia's history, geography, and economics and visit the cities of Sydney and Wollongong.
Chateau de Gudanes Historical Preservation - France
Graphic Communications, Interior Design, Architectural-Structural Technician, Facilities Management, and Horticulture
Gateway students will work with historic preservation craftsmen and builders to help restore a French Historic Monument in Chateau Verdun, France.
Spanish Culture, Language, Art, & History
Participants will learn, experience, and compare Spanish culture, language, and art by visiting two of Spain’s largest cities, Madrid and Barcelona.
Participants will learn, experience, and compare Moroccan culture by visiting and staying with students and instructors from EST in Oujda, Morocco. They will also visit Casablanca, and Marrakesh.
Business Management Internship South East Asia: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Singapore, and Hong Kong
In association with Abbott Laboratories Nutrition Division, students will familiarize themselves with Supply Chain Management, Foreign Government Requirements, and Market Entry strategy for the production and introduction of infant formula in emerging markets.
