Tool & Die makers are craftsmen who work closely with manufacturing engineers to create tools that optimize production. You’ll cut, shape and form metal and other materials to make jigs and fixtures (the tools that hold metal that is being drilled, bored, stamped or cut), gauges and other devices to assist manufacturing processes. And, as the name implies, you’ll also make dies that are used to shape material in stamping, forging and extrusion processes.
- Earn up to $29.09 an hour as an established tool and die maker.
- Over 10,400 hours of blended on-the-job and classroom training provides a solid foundation for your tool and die career.
- Begin a rewarding career with no student debt – in fact, you’ll get paid to attend classes!
