Welding

Join one of the fastest growing and highest-demand careers in the country today. Enroll in either of Gateway Technical College’s welding programs to receive the skills and knowledge needed to compete in this exciting field. Welders can work in a variety of industries including the high-demand manufacturing field. They use different welding processes to join various types of metal in different conditions and uses. Welders can also make structural repairs. Welders work in many industries including construction, engineering, automobile, and aerospace.

Welding

The Welding program allows you to gain hands-on experience with advanced welding concepts through one of two concentration areas. The Welding technical diploma focuses on advanced welding and pipe welding skills. The Welding technical diploma with a Robotics concentration emphasizes advanced welding and robotics welding skills.

Welding/Maintenance & Fabrication

The Welding/Maintenance & Fabrication program provides students with the welding fabrication basics. Upon completing this program, students can continue on to earn the Welding technical diploma, which will prepare them for advanced welding careers. Graduates of the Welding/Maintenance & Fabrication program may find careers working in auto repair, HVAC and facility maintenance operations.
