Gateway graduate Jessica McEvilla initially wasn't sure what program she should pursue, but the results were a pleasant surprise.
"I like working with my hands. I actually wanted to do something more in the realm of building computers, but I went to the IT - Computer Support Specialist program" says Jessica. "I landed a job right after graduation. And that employer was really impressed with my technical skills and work output."
A few years after earning her degree, Jessica feels strongly that her Gateway education set her up for success.
"It was a really great program, especially because of the faculty. They are the best teachers I could have asked for. Some would walk me through things that I needed more clarity on step-by-step, and that helped ensure my success," says Jessica.
"Gateway's faculty always finds a way to pinpoint how to best teach to each student. And by having mastered customer service skills and how to ask the right questions, I felt so much more confident going into the work I do today."
