Check off these items to get enrolled at Gateway Technical College!
- Application for enrollment.
Fill out your application online at gtc.edu/apply. Come to a Get Ready session for assistance in filling out your application and get an application fee waiver! Call 1-800-247-7122 to schedule a Get Ready session.
- Submit your transcripts.
Submit an official copy of all academic transcripts including high school, college/university, and/or GED/HSED. Official transcripts need to be submitted before admission acceptance and before any placement test waivers or transfer credit can be awarded.
- Submit required items.
Some programs have additional admission requirements. Go to gtc.edu/requirements for details.
- Schedule your placement test.
Placement testing will assist in determining what courses you need to take. Go to gtc.edu/testing to set up a testing date and review free sample questions.
- Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

- Meet your Advisor.
Meet with an advisor to review your program of study and the courses you’ll need to complete. Register for class and you are on your way! Call 1-800-247-7122 to schedule your appointment.
Make sure to log into your student email and check for an invite to New Student Orientation, typically held in August and January. Check your student email on a regular basis, as all college business and information will be sent to your student email address.
