Get ready for your first day at Gateway! Register for Courses.

Once you’ve applied to one of Gateway’s degree, diploma or certificate programs, registering for courses is an essential step on your path to your educational goals! Before you register for classes, meet with your Academic Advisor to create your academic plan and outline what courses you need to take. Once you’re accepted to a program, you can also review your course requirements on the Registration & Schedule Card | My Progress in My Gateway.

Register for Courses

Registering For Courses Is Easy. Get started.

Our registration process allows you to build a class schedule that works for your busy life. When you’re ready to register for your classes, you’ll need:

Payment arrangement in place once you finish registering

Your student ID number and password

Your Academic Plan

Log in to My Gateway.

Log in to My Gateway and find the Registration & Schedule Card | Register & Drop Courses.

Review your progress.

Review the courses you still need to complete to earn your degree, diploma or certificate. These courses are listed as “Planned” or “Not Started.”

Schedule your classes.

Find the course you want to register for and click the course number to view available sections. Click “View Available Sections for (course number)”. Find the section you want, then click “Add Section to Schedule” to select the section.

Complete your schedule.

Repeat Step 3 for each class you would like to register for. When you’ve chosen all of your courses, click “Back to My Progress” at the top of the screen.

Review and register.

Review the displayed courses and click “Register” under a specific course on the left side of the screen to register for a single course or “Register Now” in the upper right corner to register for all planned courses at once. Use the arrow buttons at the top left to change the term, if necessary.

Look for the green checkmark.

Courses will display a green checkmark and say “Registered” when registration is complete.

Print your schedule.

Use the “Print” button to print your schedule or save to your personal calendar.

Sign up for your payment arrangement.

Ensure you have a payment arrangement in place to avoid being removed from your classes.
