After serving as Gateway Technical College President and CEO since 2006, Bryan Albrecht has announced his retirement and will step down from his position in Fall 2022.

The announcement was made in the middle of incredible success for the college, including: state approval for the college to offer two, two-year liberal arts degrees; a partnership to work with city, industry and University of Wisconsin leaders on an autonomous vehicle project; a $7 million renovation of an existing building into a Nursing program training center to meet the needs of area health care providers; and successive years of independent reports indicating the college is on solid financial footing.

The college manages an annual operating budget of about $160 million and employs more than 900 full-time and part-time faculty and staff. It serves about 21,000 students of an average age of 26 and offers more than 70 career programs, 21 of them fully online. The college has also forged more than 47 agreements with four-year colleges to further graduates’ academic opportunities.

The Gateway Technical College Board of Trustees appointed the search firm of Greenwood/Asher & Associates to guide the college in recruiting and selecting its next president.
