Promega donates $50,000 to Gateway Foundation to support youth camps

The Promega Corporation has donated $50,000 to the Gateway Technical College Foundation as an endowed gift to support Gateway youth camps focusing on careers in the health care field.

The donation was made during an Oct. 31 event celebrating the Foundation’s 40th anniversary of helping Gateway students achieve their educational goals.

“Promega is pleased to help support Gateway’s Inspire Center,” said Bill Linton, CEO of Promega. “Its mission is consistent with our dedicated support of education and programs that spark the curiosity of the next generation in the areas of science and technology.”

The announcement was made in the college’s new Inspire Center on its Kenosha Campus, which features a newly opened advanced health care simulation lab.

“We deeply appreciate Promega’s generous investment in the community and future health care professionals,” said Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Charpentier.

“This gift will help generations of students learn more about the health field and stay excited about science and technology.”
