Gateway Technical College will livestream the inauguration ceremony for new college president and CEO Veronique Vien Tran 8 a.m. Aug. 18 at gtc.edu/inauguration.

Tran is Gateway’s 11th president or director since 1971. This event marks the first time the college has held an inauguration ceremony for an incoming president.

Tran will outline her plans and goals for the college, among other topics.

Additionally, those expected to speak include Presidential Search Committee Chairman Preston Gardner, Wisconsin Technical College System President Layla Merrifield and Gateway Technical College Board of Trustees Chairperson Zaida Lange-Irisson.
