Gateway to hold horticulture workshop on keeping your garden healthy

Gateway Technical College will offer the last workshop of its summer horticulture series, “Home Remedies for the Garden,” 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 9 at the college’s Pike Creek Horticulture Center on its Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave.

Well-known Gateway Horticulture program instructor Kate Jerome will lead the workshop.

Looking for some old-time garden formulas to keep your plants healthy and pest free without resorting to toxic methods? Come learn how to put together formulas for fertilizing and controlling pests and take home several samples to put to use in your own garden.

Cost is $40, and those interested can register at training.gtc.edu.
