Gateway Technical College will hold its 18th Annual Celebrate Earth Day, a community event featuring fun, hands-on activities for folks of all ages to learn how to be stewards of the environment.
Thousands have attended the celebration over the years, and it has become the premiere environmental event in Southeastern Wisconsin. It will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 18, on Gateway’s Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave., and Gateway’s Elkhorn Campus, 400 County Road H, Elkhorn.
“We’re very pleased to be able to continue to hold this event again this year,” said Kallie Johnson, event director. “It is a great annual tradition to promote green living, give the public insight into Gateway’s green programs and showcase what businesses, the college and community are doing to take care of our natural resources.
“It’s an event that gives us an even greater appreciation for nature and how to take care of it.”
The events are free and open to the public. For a full guide of all activities for the day at Kenosha Campus and Elkhorn Campus, please go to www.gtc.edu/earthday.
