Gateway Foundation names Kubicki as Distinguished Alumni

Mary Kubicki

The Gateway Technical College Alumni Association has named Mary Kubicki as Gateway Technical College’s 2019 Distinguished Alumni.

Kubicki earned a Supervisory Management degree from Gateway Technical College in 2012 and currently serves as the Kenosha County Clerk, a position she has held since 2009.

The award is presented annually to a Gateway Technical College graduate who has achieved at an exemplary level of excellence in their field, made significant contributions to that field and exhibit outstanding leadership, character and servisp; It is awarded during commencement ceremonies in May. This year’s commencement is May 21.

Kubicki’s nominator says: “Mary is phenomenally busy making people’s lives better – through her position as county clerk, through her volunteer opportunities … and by being at countless fundraisers and community events.”

At Gateway, Kubicki was a strong student, graduating with honors and making the college’s dean’s list. Mary credits her education at Gateway for giving her the tools and confidence to be a department head and leader and continues to encourage others to achieve their dreams through education and hard work.
