Gateway extends STEM Scholars application deadline to July 15

Gateway Technical College has extended the SC Johnson STEM Scholars Pathway program application deadline to July 15.

The SC Johnson STEM Scholars Pathway represents a life-changing opportunity to 2021 high school graduates who live within the Racine Unified School District. It pays for tuition, fees, books and supplies for students to earn a degree at Gateway Technical College, and then pays for students to complete a four-year degree at Carthage College, Concordia University Wisconsin or Milwaukee School of Engineering.

A limited number of spots are available. To apply and for more information: www.gtc.edu/STEM-scholars

The main intent of the scholarship is to attract and encourage young women of color to enter into STEM fields -- career fields in which women of color are underrepresented -- but does not exclude others. Men and women from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, as well as those from low-income backgrounds, are eligible to receive the grant.

Scholarships will be awarded annually for the next 10 years to students enrolling in Gateway’s Electrical Engineering Technology, Architectural-Structural Engineering Technician, IT-Data Analytics Specialist, IT-Cybersecurity Specialist, IT-Network Specialist, IT-Web Developer or IT-Software Developer programs.
