Gateway Technical College Foundation recognized more than 250 students at its annual scholarship award ceremony, issuing scholarships totaling nearly $232,000 and helping students fulfill their career and educational goals.

“This is an amazing day to celebrate the success of Gateway students and the generosity of community members. We are grateful that so many friends, family and foundation volunteers and donors could help us recognize our students’ accomplishments,” said Gateway Technical College Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Charpentier.

“Student after student shares with us that they are able to realize their educational dreams because of the support they have received through the Foundation. The generosity of our donors helps Gateway students reach their dreams and transform the community for generations to come.”

Charpentier points out that studies show investing in students pays dividends for the students, their families and the community. Research at the college indicates students who receive Foundation scholarships are a whopping 27 percent more likely to graduate by their third year than their peers.
