Foundation ceremony marks 260 scholarships awarded this year

Student receiving scholarship award

The Gateway Technical College Foundation awarded 260 scholarships at its annual awards ceremony Feb. 3 on the college’s Kenosha Campus, helping 175 students succeed in their educational pursuits and realize their career goals.

A total of $250,000 in scholarships was celebrated at the event.

“We are grateful for Gateway Foundation’s generous donors,” said Gateway Technical College Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Charpentier. “Their thoughtful gifts help hard-working Gateway students along their way to earn an associate degree, technical diploma or industry credential.”

Many students have credited the scholarships with being a critical piece in continuing their education and completing their degree. The Foundation has provided scholarships for more than 25 years.

“Our donors help our students transform their own lives through skills and education,” said Charpentier. “What an amazing investment in our community.”
