Gateway's IT student club, dig.IT, is holding this popular clinic over two days. Computer and device check-in will be held on two days: 

• 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m Aug. 4 
• noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 5

Computer owners will receive a text or call when their device is ready. You'll be notified by 9 p.m. August 5.

Event is held in Room 102 of the Conference Center on the Racine Campus, 1001 S. Main St. Those interested in the clinic should use the northeast entrance (Door 21) off of Pershing Blvd., near the skate park.

Computers will be worked on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Those who bring in laptop computers or tablets are asked to also bring in a power supply cord.

Windows 10 is no longer secure. Computers with it will need to be upgraded to Windows 11. Come and check to see if your PC is Windows 11 capable!

Students can assist with the following:

• Hardware consulting.
• Check for viruses and malware.
• Diagnose internet connectivity issues.
• Optimize computer function.
• Perform Windows upgrades (if computer hardware is compatible).
• Install hardware provided by the customer.
• iOS updates on iPhone and iPad.
• And more...

The clinic is a fundraiser for the student club. Participants are encouraged to donate $20 for each computer worked on. Money raised helps to pay for students to compete in statewide and national information technology events.
