Language Training, Culture and Service Learning Program
Tentative Travel Dates: May 11-21, 2026 (dates subject to change)
This program focuses on education, sustainability and economic improvement in a developing country. Immerse yourself in the local culture and language with the goal of fostering connections within the community. This program offers an array of amazing experiences.
- Volunteer at a local social service agency to support the economic and social vitality of the community.
- Travel to the Southern Philippine Islands, taking in the world-renowned beaches, visiting nature conservations and learning how to cook with locals.
- Visit a sea turtle conservation center.
- Network with local college students attending technical universities and four-year colleges to learn about their educational school system experience.
- Meet with the Quezon City Mayor and the Quezon City and members of the Manila Chambers of Commerce to learn about social entrepreneurship.
In this program, students will engage in over 20 hours of international service learning.
Cost Information
The estimated cost is $3,800 and includes:
- Airfare, most meals, transportation, standard hotel double occupancy rooms and insurance. - $3,300
- Required Gateway courses: Serving to Learn Globally (2 credits) and Cultural Elements of Study Abroad (1 credit) - $500
Other costs to consider include your passport and spending money.
