An emerging Hispanic Serving-Institution through the US Department of Education, is an educational institution in which at least 15-24% of the student population is Hispanic.

- Gateway is focused on connecting with and supporting the Latino community on campus through hands-on support services, resources, clubs and events.
- Gateway’s Diversity 365 initiatives include yearly celebrations of Hispanic Heritage month as well as other cultural events.
- The Multicultural program focuses on student success through professional and personal development opportunities such as conferences, mentoring and networking for students of all cultural backgrounds.
- Gateway is a proud member of HSI Network of Wisconsin, a network for higher education institutions that works collaboratively to share best practices for serving and supporting Hispanic students and community.
