Gateway Technical College will host a criminal justice job fair, featuring more than 30 recruiters from Wisconsin and Illinois municipalities as well as state and federal agencies, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 21 in HARIBO Hall at the Madrigrano Conference Center of the college’s Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave.
While the job fair will help Gateway Law Enforcement Academy students to connect with possible future employers, Amy Koeppel, Gateway Director of Law Enforcement Training, says the large event is also open to the public and encourages anyone considering a career in law enforcement, criminal justice or legal fields to participate.
“The employers who are coming are looking to hire,” said Koeppel. “It’s a great opportunity to connect. We are excited to facilitate connections between these hiring agencies and those interested in these career fields.”
Job opportunities include law enforcement, corrections, dispatch and administrative support.
Koeppel says she believes the event is the largest hiring event of its kind in the state that is also free and open to the public.
