Awarded financial aid will cover tuition and textbooks costs up to the amount of the award. Students may need to make a payment if there are any fees which exceed financial aid funding. Awards may change due to enrollment and eligibility.
For example, a student was awarded for 12 credits (full-time enrollment) but registered for only six credits (half-time enrollment). The financial aid award will be reduced because of credits and enrollment status.
Book authorizations allow awarded financial aid students to purchase textbooks using their available financial aid funds. Book authorizations will be available in the bookstore approximately two weeks before the beginning of each semester. Financial aid awards are available one day after the award is complete. Eligible students can use their financial aid book authorizations through the Census Date. When picking up books, students should have their current schedule and Gateway ID with them.
Tuition and books will not be covered for students that are only eligible for student loans unless loans have been guaranteed.
