More than 500 industry experts from 200 area organizations serve Gateway through their membership on academic program advisory committees. Committee members provide valuable information on current labor needs, future trends and offer a pragmatic look at the college’s educational training and curriculum. Bring your expertise, provide insight into the changing needs of your industry and review our program requirements to help us make sure we’re providing the proper training for our graduates to succeed in your industry. Who can serve?

Committee members must be employed in-or affiliated with-the occupation, employed or reside in the Gateway district and not be employees of Gateway or enrolled in the program which they are advising.*

*These requirements are waived under specific circumstances.

What are the benefits?

Through serving on an advisory committee, you gain the satisfaction of helping students, the opportunity to guide the education of your workforce to meet your company’s needs, an inside track to hiring well-educated employees and the prestige of being associated with a respected community institution of higher learning.

What is the time commitment?

Four meetings over a two-year time period.
