Mission

The Gateway Technical College Foundation supports the mission of the College by mobilizing individuals and organizations to invest in students through financial support and engagement. We strengthen the diverse communities we serve by aligning resources with student needs.

Our Vision

Strengthen and grow Gateway’s relationships with mission-aligned community partners, Gateway employees, alumni and current students to join together in transforming lives and the economic vitality of the region through increasing direct aid and mission support by 30% and college initiatives by 15% before 2026.

Organization

Gateway Technical College Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. It is separate from Gateway Technical College. The foundation board is governed by community leaders representing Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. Founded in 1977, the foundation raises more than $400,000 annually and stewards a more than $13 million endowment.

Volunteer with Gateway Foundation

Volunteers provide critical experience and skills to the foundation. They support the foundation by serving on the foundation's board of directors, board committees and scholarship application review committees. To let us know of your interest, please complete this brief form.

GuideStar Seal of Transparency

The foundation was recently recognized for our transparency with a Gold Seal on our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile!  

GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. In order to get the Gold Seal, The Gateway Foundation shared important information with the public using our profile on www.guidestar.org. Now our community members and potential donors can find in-depth information about our goals, strategies, capabilities and progress.
