Gateway's IT student club – now called dig.IT – will hold this popular clinic over two days:
- Customers will drop off their devices from 1-9 p.m. March 17 at the Racine Building, Michigan Room (northeast entrance to the building located near the skate park).
- Computers will be picked up the next day, Saturday, March 18. Students will call or text the owners of the computers the time for the computers to be picked up.
Computers will be worked on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Those who bring in laptop computers or tablets are asked to also bring in a power supply cord.
Students can assist with the following:
- Update PC operating systems
- Check for viruses and malware
- Diagnose internet access issues
- Optimize computer function
- Perform Windows upgrades if computer hardware is compatible
The clinic is a fundraiser for the student club. Participants are encouraged to contribute a $20 donation for each computer worked on. Money raised helps to pay for students to compete in statewide and national information technology events.
Open to the public.
