On March 6, Gateway students can get the low-down on a variety of careers from those in the field at the Meet the Professionals event.
The gathering will begin with check-in at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 5 p.m. at the Racine Campus Conference Center.
The event is beneficial to students “by helping them make sure they’ve chosen the right major for themselves,” said Stacia Thompson, project director for the Health Profession Opportunity Program at Gateway.
Students can learn networking skills and ask questions pertaining to their professional field. Marie Smith, a specialist in career development, will be the guest speaker.
“It will help them (students) network with potential employers, and it will also help them learn more about the day-to-day functions of the occupations in which they are looking to become employed.”
