Gateway’s IT Academy prepares students for their future career and degree – while they are still in high school. High school students can enroll and earn credit in a number of Gateway Technical College Information Technology programs, taught at the high school, by high school teachers.
The same textbook and materials used at Gateway courses are used at the high schools. Teachers are providing instruction to meet the standard of a college-level course and credits earned apply toward a Gateway degree. Courses are free to students.
Credits are transcripted and are provided to students at no charge. Transcripted credit means students earning Gateway credits directly from Gateway, even though they are still in high school.
Courses from the following programs are offered through the academy at various high schools. Check with your high school counselor to see if it’s offered at your school.
