CNA Specialized ABE/ELL Program

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specialized in Adult Basic Education (ABE) and/or high level English Language Learners (ELL) is a unique program which offers additional instructional time for students. This program follows the I-BEST model which refers to Integrated Basic Education Skills Training. In the I-BEST program, students have the benefit of two instructors. One is a subject matter expert, and the other is a specialist in basic skills such as English, reading and math.

For residents of Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth Counties, there may be funding available. All applicants must take a placement test, and a criminal background check.

There is no planned programming for this specialized training at this time. If you are interested in CNA programming please visit https://www.gtc.edu/programs/technical-diploma/nursing-assistant  or contact Gateway's New Student Specialist to learn more: newstudentspecialists@gtc.edu.
