Gateway Technical College believes in doing all it can to ready its students for the workplace through strong training and innovative practices – and others agree.
ACT’s recently named Gateway as a semifinalist for its National College and Career Readiness Awards, given to individuals and organizations for their quality work in the areas of college and career readiness.
Gateway was a finalist in the Career Preparedness category. The campaign’s goal is to bring attention to the hard work and exceptional achievements of education leaders, top employers and students. Nominated students in each participating state, regardless of semifinalist status, receive an academic scholarship from ACT.
Governor Scott Walker on May 23 attended the ACT College and Career Readiness Awards Ceremony in the Governor’s conference room at the State Capitol to congratulate Gateway and the three others named as semifinalists.
