Our expert instructors will work with you to achieve your goals with Adult Basic Education and English Language Learner (ELL) programs— all free for Wisconsin residents. Contact any Learning Success Center today to register for an orientation, take an assessment or talk with a transition specialist about how you can graduate high school and college or apply for funding to support your education.

Adult Basic Education

You can join more than 2,000 students ages 18 and older who use Gateway’s Adult Basic Education program (ABE) to brush up on math, reading, writing and computer skills. Move ahead by pursuing a GED/HSED or college education.

Sign up for a free, self-paced online orientation to learn more about GED testing and HSED options. Get free support to prepare for your GED tests and develop your own personal education plan with one of our instructors in the Learning Success Center.

English Language Learning (ELL)

Want to learn English or improve your reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, listening and speaking skills? Gateway offers a free ELL program. Classes meet two days a week for six hours per week. Fall semester is September to December; spring semester is January to May; and summer semester is May to July.
