Deaf Culture Day

Deaf Culture day is held on the Elkhorn Campus—generally in late March or early April--to honor deaf culture in America.  The event strives to bring hearing and deaf cultures together to break down communication and cultural barriers. Organizers also hope it will increase education and awareness of deaf culture.  The event generally features a guest speaker and several activities designed to bring deaf/hard of hearing people together with the hearing population for greater understanding.
