Snap-on Torque

Snap-on Incorporated, in partnership with Gateway, is creating a national torque certification program designed to meet the needs of the growing global wind industry. The training covers torque fundamentals, electrical torque, and larger hydraulic equipment.

INDIVIDUAL CERTIFICATION:

Intro to Torque Technology

This course introduces the student to torque technology. Topics include: introduction to torque equipment, torque theory, tool safety and basic bolting practices.

Mechanical and Electronic Torque Applications

This course introduces the student to mechanical and electronic torque technology. The student will utilize mechanical and electronic torque instruments in a lab environment to achieve proficiency in torque techniques and tool application. Upon successful completion of a practical and a written examination the student will receive Snap-on Tool certification.

Certification assessment may be taken upon completion of Intro. to Torque Technology AND Mechanical and Electronic Torque Applications.

Hydraulic Torque Applications

This course introduces the student to hydraulic torque technology. The student will utilize hydraulic torque instruments and torque tension devices in a lab environment to achieve proficiency in torque techniques and tool application. Upon successful completion of a practical and a written examination the student will receive Hytorc Tool Certification.

Individuals taking Hydraulic Torque Applications must first take Intro. to Torque Technology AND Mechanical and Electronic Torque Applications. Certification assessment may be taken upon completion of Hydraulic Torque Applications.

FOR TRAINERS:

Torque Train the Trainer

This course introduces the instructor/trainer to torque technology. The participant will review course curriculum and methodology. Participants will utilize mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic torque instruments and torque tension devices in a lab environment to achieve proficiency in classroom and lab operation. Emphasis on classroom safety, torque techniques, tool application and examination practices will be covered.
