Contracts for Service

In today’s fast-changing marketplace, your most important competitive advantage resides in your employees. Your investment in employee training leverages this advantage. The Workforce & Economic Development Division of Gateway Technical College specializes in corporate training and consulting.

Contract with WEDD to get the training you need!

A contract for service is an agreement for training between you and Gateway Technical College. Certified Gateway instructors work with you to determine the type of training needed, the number of hours, and the dates, times, and location of the training. We are flexible in the dates and times of training – we can provide training during business hours, during the evening, and sometimes even on the weekend. For your convenience, we will also procure the texts, supplies, and other incidentals required, if needed.

Training is available through a variety of methods: classroom learning, self-paced learning, on-line learning and accelerated learning. We can customize, create, or secure almost any type of training you may need. We offer Adult Continuing Education (ACE) non-credit courses as well as credit courses in business, management, leadership, basic education, technical skills, safety, Spanish, supply chain management and more.

We also offer technical assistance, by providing professional expertise in business matters important to you. Examples of technical assistance include helping a business develop an employee performance plan, creating employee assessments, assessing IT requirements, customizing software applications, assessment testing of employees, welding certification testing, and more.

Training that is cost effective!

Contracting with WEDD for training offers an excellent value for doing in-house training, versus having to send employees offsite, oftentimes with accompanying travel expenses. We provide the trainer and necessary materials and bill you after completion of the training.  Contracts for service are billed per instructional hour, not per employee.
