What is Petitioning

Please note that the petitioning process has changed. Students are no longer required to submit multiple documents at the time of petitioning. The only items required to submit during the petition window are the petition form provided on this website and a copy of your valid Health Care Provider CPR certification (all programs except Health Information Technology and Health Unit Coordinator).

Petitioning is a second application process used for programs with limited seats in core courses.  Petitioning students must meet certain criteria as specified by their program to have their petition considered.  Petitioning students are selected by application date and residency status.  Those with earlier application dates and Gateway district residents have first priority in selection for core courses
