Application Priority Dates

Gateway accepts applications for admission on an ongoing basis. We do have priority admission dates prior to the start of each semester.

Priority Admission Dates

Summer Semester – Apply by January 1
Fall Semester – Apply by July 1
Spring Semester – Apply by October 1

Complete your file for admission by the dates above and we guarantee acceptance to your program by the Priority Student Registration and Financial Aid file completion dates!

We encourage you to apply for program admission as soon as you decide you want to work toward graduating from a program. Begin admitted to a program has a number of benefits, including:

  • Priority Registration - You get to register for your classes before non-program students
  • You must be accepted to a program to be eligible to receive Financial Aid
  • Program course requirements can change frequently. Program admission locks you in to the program courses (curriculum sheet) for the year you are accepted.
  • One criteria used in the Petitioning process is program acceptance date.
  • Receive up-to-date information about your program.

Program acceptance does not guarantee course selection or enrollment in a class(es). You may apply after the dates above, however, acceptance to your program prior to the start of the semester is not guaranteed. You will also need to have a payment option in place prior to the start of the semester. This may include enrolling in Gateway’s payment plan or paying fees in full if registering for classes.

Applications and related materials are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow 7-10 business days for your application and other admission items to be processed. Once all your program’s admission requirements have been received, your file will be reviewed and you will be notified of your acceptance.

Application Deactivation

Application files not completed by the dates below will be deactivated.

August 15 for Summer term
November 15 for Fall term
March 15 for Spring term

If you choose to re-activate your application at a later time, you will need to submit a new Application for Admission or Program Add/Change form. High school seniors, GED, or Adult High School program students required to verify HS completion but who will not complete in this timeframe should contact the Admissions office at 262.741.8168 or admissions@gtc.edu for an extension.
