United Student Government has committees that work on various initiatives from student activities to legislative efforts. Students interested in joining a committee can contact their campus representatives or email usg@gtc.edu.
Student Activities Committee
The SAC is in charge of FUN! Committee members organize and promote social, recreational, and cultural activities on campus. The Student Activities Committee helps select entertainers and performers for events on campus with representatives attending the National Association for Campus Activities event each year.
Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee works to raise student awareness and participation in legislative and political issues that impact students. Committee members engage with and select members to represent Gateway at Wisconsin Student Government meetings.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is comprised of the Public Relations Secretaries from all campuses/centers as well as additional interested students. The committee's primary responsibility is to inform Gateway students about USG and student activities.
Elections Committee
The Elections Committee is comprised of the Public Relations Secretaries from all campuses/centers as well as additional members as appointed by the committee. The committee's primary responsibility is organizing and executing USG elections each spring.
Liaison Committee
The Liaison Committee is comprised of the Vice Presidents from all campuses/centers as well as additional members as appointed by the committee. The committee hears and investigates suggestions and complaints from students and forwards information on through proper channels at the college.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of the District Officers, Vice Presidents and Public Relations Secretaries. The Executive Committee is the governing committee of USG and is responsible for presenting the budget, plans, and policies to the full government for approval.
