Society of Women Engineers

Who: Gateway Technical College Society of Women Engineers Club, SWE Chapter, which shall be granted a charter by the Society of Women Engineers.

What: The object of the chapter shall be to promote the profession of engineering amongst women through the organized effort of this group in study, research and discussion of the fields of engineers and the dissemination of knowledge thereby gained. The chapter shall promote membership in SWE by acquainting the study body with the ideas, purposes, and objectives of SWE.

When: The chapter meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

Where: The chapter will meet at the Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation (CATI) and via the NODAL system and Blackboard.

Why: The chapter will offer students networking opportunities, scholarship opportunities, field trips, fundraising, and guest speakers at each meeting.
