Gateway Technical College offers training in one of the most popular platforms used by business today—the IBM iSeries/i5…now called System i5. Gateway is a key player in the IBM Academic Initiative, bringing the college together with IBM and IBM System i5 users. Gateway’s program is geared to both the new Programmer-Analyst student and the seasoned programmer seeking to enhance their skill set using the latest technology. The goal of the Academic Initiative is to develop and enhance iSeries skills to meet the hiring needs of the business community. In order to achieve this goal, the IBM Academic Initiative makes it easier for faculty and researchers to access IBM software, hardware, technologies and educational resources for teaching and research.
