Paramedic Technician

Be a lifesaver in your community and qualify for an excellent lifetime career by successfully completing Gateway's Paramedic Technician associate degree program. Graduates of this program can expect to work with private ambulance companies, fire departments, or hospital emergency rooms.

Paramedic Technician program participation requires students to be licensed in Wisconsin at the EMT Basic, Basic IV Tech, or EMT Intermediate level and be current in Healthcare Provider CPR.  This full-time program meets Monday through Friday 8am-4:30 p.m....or as part-time alternating day program (meets every third day from 8am-4:30 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays)...or as a part-time evening/Saturday (meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10 p.m. and most Saturdays from 8am-4:30 p.m.)

Students who successfully finish the first two semesters of the associate degree program are eligible to receive the Paramedic Technician Associates Degree.

At the end of the program, students take a final Gateway written and practical exam, and after successful completion, can then take the written and practical National Registry certification exam.  The technical portion includes field time with a paramedic level ambulance.
