Biz Squad

Mission:

To provide Racine County businesses with business development resources through a student driven learning process.

Student teams or "BIZ Squads" will consist of one or more students in advanced standing from each of the specific business-related disciplines. These students work with four faculty members from Gateway Technical College.

These teams (Gateway faculty and students) will work to solve complex industry issues facing our local businesses.

Brief descriptions of the resources the BIZ Squad offers the business client are:

• Accounting - will bring resources to review or recommend new/changes within the accounting area.
  
  
• Administrative Assistants - will bring resources to recommend new forms, software recommendations and processes and procedures to the front office.
  
  
• Information Technology - will bring resources to review or recommend network changes, hardware, server, web site, and server room placement/upgrades. They will also review disaster recovery and policy/procedures and recommend changes.
  
  
• Business/Supervisory Management - will bring resources to help design HR functions and make recommendations ont he legal aspects of the business, organizational structure, training, and other managerial policies/procedures.
  
  
• Marketing - will review the marketing plan and make recommendations; assist with the development of a marketing plan as need.
  
  
• Graphic Communications - will review marketing, web, and hard copy graphics and make recommendations assist with the development of graphic communications as needed.
