Nursing
Given the continuing demand for skilled health care workers, it’s no mystery that nursing is a healthy career choice. But choosing the right school to obtain a degree as a registered nurse is critical. The Associate Degree Nursing program at Gateway Technical College prepares students to be licensed as registered nurses in Wisconsin and those who have completed their first year of study meet the requirements to be a practical nurse. The Gateway program may be started in either August or January and credits may transfer to colleges and universities offering advanced nurse education programs.

| Petitioning for Clinical Classes |
Nursing has a greater number of interested students than
available core course seats. For such programs, Gateway Technical
College utilizes a petition process where a post-admission, second-tier
process is used to select accepted students for upcoming technical studies/occupational specific course seats. Students should note that petition requirements are subject to change and may be different for each petition period.
Please be aware that there may be a 1-3 year wait from the time you begin to petition until your petition is successful.
Please refer to the health and specific program websites for further details. www.gtc.edu/health |
