REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration for the Sprint 2009 courses is currently open. If you have a Gateway Technical College student ID and PIN, you may use our on-line registration (WebAdvisor). If you do not have a Gateway Technical College ID, you may request an ID and PIN number by bringing a photo ID to Student Services on any Gateway Technical College campus. The ID and PIN issued may be used to take advantage of our on-line registration. To ensure access to on-line registration, please request your ID and PIN before registration begins. Registration can be done in person at any Gateway Registration Office - Burlington, Elkhorn, Kenosha or Racine. Registration hours are: The registration form must be completely filled out in order to be registered. A link to the registration form can be found at the bottom of this page. Since classes fill very quickly, it is recommended that you list your first three choices on the registration form. There are no waiting lists for these courses. Students will be required to present a Driver's License or State-Issued Identification card at the time of registration. Anyone that fails to present a driver's license or state-issued identification card will not be registered. It is not required, but if you would like to set up your student record and receive your assigned Gateway student ID #, please visit a Registration Office at the campus nearest you prior to registration - this will save time in the registration process. This does not guarantee you a seat. REMEMBER: Registration will still be first-come, first-served. PAYMENT Payment is required in full at the time of registration. Acceptable forms of payment include: checks payable to Gateway Technical College (only if registering in person), MasterCard, VISA, Discover or American Express. MULTIPLE REGISTRATIONS (in person) Individuals may register themselves and one additional person. A copy of the additional registrant's driver's license or state-issued identification card will also be required. A copy of the registration form may be made for one additional registrant. CLASS ATTENDANCE You must be present and ON TIME and attend EACH session to pass this course. The attendance policy is strictly upheld. Students missing and/or late will be immediately dropped from the entire course with no refund of course fees. REFUND POLICY A student must drop a class before it begins to qualify for a full refund. Drops are student-initiated, in person, by submitting a completed drop form to any Gateway registration office. All refund rates are calculated on the date the drop transaction is completed. Non-attenance or notifying the instructor that you will not be attending does NOT constitute a drop. WAIVER The following individuals are required by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to obtain a MV3575 Proof of Enrollment (Motorcycle Skills Test Proof of Enrollment Waiver Authorization) in order to obtain a motorcycle temporary permit: Regardless of where a student registers, or at which Gateway location the student will take the Basic Rider Course, requests for MV3575 Proof of Enrollment Waivers should be made at the Kenosha Campus only or by calling 262-564-3904. Requests should only be made after course enrollment. If a student fails to attend after having been issued a waiver, the Department of Transportation will be notified immediately. All other students will receive their waiver upon successful completion of the Basic Rider Course. Gateway Technical College does not require students to have a temporary permit in order to take the Basic Rider Course. STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 Students under the age of 18 will need a Gateway "Personal Enrichment" form signed by their parent or guardian and it must be presented at the time of in person registration only. Registration Form Under 18 Form The registration form must be completed in full. It is to your advantage to bring this completed document to the registration office on the date of open registration. It will also be to your advantage to select more that one class option from the schedule in the event that your first choice is full.
